In 2009, the wine market in the United States grew by 2.3% to 79 million cases, surpassing the growth of the market in 2008 and marking the 16th straight year of positive volume growth. Most of this growth has been driven by domestic varietals; however, there are some shining stars in the import segment. Corporate brand wine is continuing to show extremely positive growth.
